Stay Warm This Winter – Project 100 Winter Packages
As the temperatures drop, so does the comfort and security of many in our community. For some, the cold months bring real hardship, sleeping rough, struggling to heat a home, or facing winter without even the basics to stay warm.
That’s why Project 100 has launched the “Winter Packages” initiative a community-powered effort to keep Thetford warm, safe, and cared for this winter.
What Are the Winter Packages?
Each Winter Package is a carefully assembled bundle of essentials designed to help those most in need through the coldest months.
They include:
Warm blankets and socks
Thermal hats, gloves and scarves
Snoods
Hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrushes)
Hot Chocolate and flasks
Every package is put together by us at the Club and distributed directly to those who need them from local shelters to people on the streets, and families struggling to make ends meet.
What They’re For
The aim is simple: no one in Thetford should face winter alone.
These packages provide immediate relief, but they also send a powerful message that Thetford Town Cricket Club sees, cares for, and supports every person who calls Thetford home.
This project goes beyond cricket or sport. It’s about connection, compassion, and community in action.
Building Momentum Before the Launch
Before our official Project 100 launch on February 7th, 2026, we’re getting started the best way possible by getting involved in real community projects that make an impact.
The Winter Packages initiative is the first of many a chance to turn our words into action and show what Project 100 stands for: people helping people.
This is your opportunity to make a difference to someone this winter.
We are, as a club donating items to fill each winter package.
